Farm of Koke Shalaye
This coffee is grown in Koke Kebele, located in the Gedeo Zone of southern Ethiopia, where small-scale farmers carefully handpick only ripe cherries. The station spans 2.5 hectares and is equipped with 220 drying beds and 12 fermentation tanks. Established in 2019 and owned by Abreham Mengiste, Koke Shalaye has quickly gained recognition for its quality, including an award from the Ethiopia Taste of Harvest competition. Grown at elevations of 1,914–2,150 meters above sea level, the coffee reflects the region’s fertile soils, abundant rainfall, and deep local expertise.
