In 1941, Dr Peter Schlumbohm set out to invent a coffee maker he was satisfied with. He believed a great cup of coffee comes from the perfect extraction and filteration.    

The Chemex Coffee Maker brews a delicious, well balanced cup every time. Made from thermally resistant glass and fastened with a polished wood collar and leather tie. The special paper filters are made from pulp which is thicker- this helps deliver a "very clean" coffee with clarity and lack of bitter flavours.
